Great news for friends and fans! Liz Painter Band just recorded a live CD with documentary video footage. We recorded 20 songs in one afternoon, set up and broke down all in one intense Thursday in May. Next is post production which includes sifting through footage and preparing to mix. Check out new photos of the recording session and free downloads of some rough mixes

Painter's debut, Home Before Dark, shows a powerful effort! Liz creates a vast sonic space full with elemental and earthy energies. Her vocals are infused with a dramatic, theatrical style. Her band backs her with a unique, rich and rhythmic orchestration. Their cutting edge rock and acoustic show can cross over into the folk- country genre at times as well.

Well, Liz Painter Band had an amazing time on the road for their summer tour! They traveled south in a motor home for shows in Arizona and Texas and then up to Colorado. Thanks to all the venues, artists and friends we met on the road!

Painter is a Finalist for Best Contempory Rock Song 2008. My Own Road, off Liz's debut, is up for Best Contempory Rock Song in the 2008 NAMMIES, the New Mexico Music Awards. For more info and updates visit www.newmexicomusicawards.com
